Health is the most important aspect of human life. Health related issues can be the biggest foe of an individual. Healthy living and good health ultimately leads to a healthy individual.
Inspite of government initiatives, the remote areas of Orissa is still deprived of proper medical facilities. Also a lack of bare minimum knowledge about health issues and their remedies leads to various health hazards for people living in these areas.
IEA, with their team of efficient and experienced health professionals conducted multiple community get-togethers with these people living in remote areas and abridged them about basic health diseases and their treatments. IEA, in its effort to uplift the living condition of these people on a regular basis, appointed Community Health Promoters. IEA took the pain in selecting, appointing and training local youth as volunteers in these areas, who will always be available with these communities and look after the basic health problems on a continuous basis.
The Health and First Aid Training were given to 40 nos. of youth volunteers who have been successfully trained out by the health professionals as native Community Health promoters (CHPs) and are currently committed is serving people in the district of Kandhamal.
